Dear visitor to this Storesonline Reviews website,

I encountered Storesonline (also known as iMergent) a couple of years ago when I saw an advertisement in my local newspaper. After attending their event, I felt I had to write down and let others know about them.

On this site, you will also be able to read not only my personal account of the Storesonline seminar and workshop, but also comments by hundreds of other people about their own experiences with Storesonline.

If you are about to attend their workshop or seminar, make sure you read everything here before you attend the session.

If you are considering purchasing the Storesonlinepro website, I strongly encourage you to read everything on this site including the comments left by hundreds of people, some of whom are Storesonline customers. Hopefully, these will help you make an informed decision on whether the Storesonlinepro website packages are suitable for you.

Where to begin? There is so much wrong with this company! As a webmaster in my own right, I did not see any advantages to SOL. I found customer service downright rude. They play to the fact that people want to do it right, and are willing to pay for it…Just that they make you feel really cheap and worthless if you don’t ‘upgrade’. Yeah, lots of “add ons”!! Pretty much to the tune of 50,000. in credit card debt thanks very much.and they make you believe you’re in an elite class when all they are doing is ensuring they can keep their hands in your pocket. The web builder is horrible to work with! Sure they trot out their successful people…I’ll bet there are not that many!

Don’t waste your time going to the seminar the lunch isn’t worth it. We are struggling now to get out of this debt. Run far and fast away from these crooks! I wish someone had told me that! I never had a ‘good’ feeling but my husband really wanted this to work. I haven’t the heart to tell him you can’t make a silk purse out of sows ear!

As for working at my website, I’m doing alright and it certainly doesn’t cost anywhere near $40/month (as of two years ago) to register with them and use their web builder, etc. Yep, everything is proprietary.. and they just suck, and suck at your wallet until there is nothing left. They think they are above the law and continue to call me when I’ve given them a piece of my mind. (Got news for them though, if they call one more time, I’m turning them over to the FTC and anyone else I can think of. – I wrote and revoked any permissions implied or given for them to contact me.) Yeah, I really hope they feel ‘lucky’ and call again. Yeah, would love to see them put out of business. Horrible, horrible company. Wish we had never accepted that ‘invitation’. I cannot even begin to tell you how much loathing I have for them!

    • Greg Decker says:

I was thinking about going to their full day of training but I came across this post of yours. I have already paid the $139.00 for the day’s training. They said that the first 50 callers would get a new laptop and at the day training we would all get an electronic notebook. I know some about websites, but where I lack the training is in marketing. If you can not market your website then you are just spinning your wheels. So storesonline does not teach you anything about marketing?

      • I got suckered in says:

I signed up and paid about $7,000 for the package for the seminar thinking that’s all I needed. My life is a living hell after that. Many different reps will call you after that and everyone wants a piece of your wallet, like f*cking hyenas. Every call from them ask for more money to do this and do that, setup corporation fee, setup bookkeeping fee, on and on. A few thousand dollar every time. You’ll end up with $50,000 in dept before you know it. I wish these f*ckin people burn in hell. Especially the ones from Utah. I expected Mormoms to be honest, but you mother f*ckers will burn in hell.

        • Gregory says:

In response to the “Mormon thing”, I take offense. I know the Mormon people and just because storesonline is located in Utah does not mean they are Mormon. If they are … then they are as crooked as anyone else. Dont attack a religion when you are ignorant of who that religion really is. Either way they are crooked and should burn. I went to the seminar and saw through them… I think anyone out there should put this info up.

          • Bob says:

I don’t know about the Mormon thing, but the only reason I opened the invitation was that the return address was in Orem, Utah. I was curious, because just recently I was scammed bigtime by an internet scam operating out of Orem, Utah. Must be something in the water out there…..Once burned, twice wary…..an expensive lesson, but the US Postal Inspectors, FBI, and Utah State BI are having a field day with these crooks. The moral is: If you’ve been taken, report it to http://www.IC3.gov, and then keep after the authorities.

        • Able to read says:

I’m neither Mormon nor have I purchased software from StoresOnline. I’m just curious if any of the self-labeled “victims” read the contract for the software…

In BOLD, UPPERCASE, and UNDERLINED on the contract, right above the signature line it says IMPORTANT NOTICE If you:(1) do not have a computer, (2) do not have a general knowledge of using a computer, (3) know little or nothing about e-commerce, (4) do not presently have a product to sell, (5) do not have a plan for operating an existing business, (6) do not have sufficient capital to operate an existing business apart from the cost of this software, or (7) fit one or any combination of the previous categories, it is highly recommended that you fix these weaknesses before beginning the process of building an e-commerce website.
If you fit any one of these categories and nonetheless choose to purchase this educational package, be aware that it may take an additional undetermined amount of time, depending on your skills and intelligence, to learn how to work with computers and the Internet; it may take additional time to find a supplier to drop ship products for you and it may take you still several weeks to several months more to compile all the information needed to construct and publish an e-commerce website.
If you are an experienced business person with an ongoing business and are an experienced computer user, you may have success with StoresOnline’s website building software and services. However, the individual success of current, on-going web sites built with StoresOnline software varies from complete failures to highly successful and profitable Internet businesses. The StoresOnline software is intended for business use.

I’m thinking I would be ashamed of whining after having signed a contract with that kind of IMPORTANT NOTICE on it.

          • Robert Coleman says:

I haven’t purchased the software myself, but was trying to help a friend out who had. An 84 year old woman who had taken computer classes and uses a computer on a daily bases. In the presentation they make it sound like its point and click, drag and drop. The support is there if you can understand there accents. Some good and some poor. Then the predator calls start… Another 8k to set it up right or your not going anyplace. The sight is up now, but I have a problem finding it. I wished they had come to me first.

      • Marie Leanos says:

        Greg,
Run as fast as you can from these crooks. They promise the world and leave you flat. No help with the webs or anything. I lost over $6000. There are several law suits pending. Do NOT give them another cent.
        Marie

        • Charlie F. says:

Marie.. I got hosed be these guys too. I was wondering if you could tell me where the law suits are in operation. I just want to get out of paying the contract. Only 2 days beyond the recission limit and a whole lot of extra add ons I wasant fully aware of. I’m on SSD and don’t have that kind of extra money to invest. Barak Obama would get jealous if any one else is after his money, huh? I’m a 32 year Military Vet and it’s a shame to be a victim of a company in your own country wanting to destroy your life by making false statements about how the program will take care of itself in a short while. There is not enough time for anything good to kick in to cover all the costs involved. i.e. linkbuilding and a few other things they forgot to expound on very much. They just want to sell the sizzle and to heck with the steak. Thanks Charlie F

        • Patricia says:

I paid for the seminar and had second thoughts. Received my refund from Pay Pal under their buyer protection policy. Well, I did not attend the one day seminar since I got my money back but two months latter I am still getting phone calls from them congratulating me, inviting me to their webinars etc. After NINE calls to them asking my phone number be removed I am still getting the calls. I threatened them with the Div of Consumer Protection and the BBB. Guess what – another call today. You can run but they do not listen. I did file a complaint with the BBB and the UT AG office today.

      • Jonlin says:

We just got back from the “search engine optimization” workshop. Actually, we left after 4 1/2 hours, of which 3 1/2 hours was sales pitch for their upgrades ($3600 and $7000) and a lot of hype and rah rah. There was very little marketing/optimization information given other than how to access tools that are only available through… their upgrades. Their spiel builds up to a subtle psychological message that if you don’t invest in their system, you’re a lazy un-American know-it-all. And people are shelling out money like crazy,

      • Cal says:

I have not had a terrible experience like many of the people on here. I have found that they do offer assistance with marketing, and the dvd training is great! Go to the seminar and find out for yourself and find out if they are a good fit for you.

        • NK says:

I’m at the point of having purchased the Platinum Suite and have time to cancel the agreement. I’m beginning to look at it and would like to talk to you, Cal, about your experience. Could I call you?

          • rosie says:

i bought the pkg from them and they have been very helpful. i actually got a phone call from a company and they tried to sell me a huge package of add ons but I questioned them so much that they actually helped me by giving me so much information for free and I didn’t give them a dime. The info that I have gotten from stores on line would’ve been hard for me to get on my own and very time consuming. I use to sell on e-bay and made a good profit so I knew that everything they were saying at their seminar about e-bay was true. i already have an online business and I am looking to create more so my understanding of this kind of stuff is there and I am learning even more because of stores on line. I hope it continues this way but so far it has been really helpful and a good business deduction for my taxes.

    • Dawn Bouton says:

Presentation was great – almost had me. But I had just begun thinking of an online venture so my theory is research research research. This is what they also preached in their seminar. After all I would not buy the first car I checked out. I want to compare. So in the end the evaluation sheets were handed out. They said only hard working interested people would be selected for their full day seminar. After all if you are not serious then they did not want you. So on my evaluation sheet I said I was not ready for the seminar. I did not want to waste anyones time and needed to have more research before jumping in. So of course they pick me for their seminar. I went up to the credit card table and explained they must not have read my whole evaluation. Well short story is the salesman comes over and starts the pressure selling. I could barely get a word out of my mouth. He said now is the time, if I don’t do it now I never will, why did I even come then if I wasn’t ready. I finally got a word in and said research. He took my sheet threw it on the ground, said I obviously wasn’t ready and walked away from me without another word. I originally had thought of checking out pricing and revisiting storesonline but now I realize it is just a big pessure sell to get your money. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

    • jay says:

I went to the $99 all day workshiop, learned why web sites fail, about convertion rates, keyword density, a good way to determin what product(s) to sell and why, got some good leads on drop shippers, what questions to ask drop shippers and the important stats to track on a web site among other pieces of usefull information. They asked my for a $3400 or $6000 dollar investment, I said no, went home and typed up this reply on the notebook computer that I received at the seminar. The text editor has no spell check, but what do you expect from a $99 netbook.

      • Danny says:

The reason why websites fail is because websites now are considered extinct unless they are a landing page to acquire leads (lead capture). That’s why blogs are key word rich. The easiest example is a piece of paper (webpage) vs. a Journal (blog) like the size of a book which gets another layer w/each entry. Although I just started a free blog I’m beginning to get comfortable with all this terminology and understanding of how the web works. I was duped a long time ago w/ this company and just decided to look them up and see how they were doing. It’s a crying shame that this stuff goes on today!! If anyone here is interested to ultra low cost alternatives. Feel free to look me up on facebook (you’ll see I read A LOT NOW!!)or drop me an email. Good luck to all your future endeavors. Just don’t quit! You had a Dream before these crooks came along. Don’t let them take it away no matter how much money they’ve taken from you. God bless you all! You’re helping a lot of people by just posting here.

    • AG says:

Thank you so much for the head ups. I was thinking about going to a seminar but you have changed my mind. I hope your situation gets better.
      Thanks Again,

One wonders how Leland McKay sleeps at night.
Went to their “dinner” presentation last night … I should have spent $10 at the Japanese Earthquake Relief event happening in the same hotel.

      • Barbara says:

So happy that I found this Web site I paid the $99.00. When I read all the bad things I put a stop payment on the money .and canceled my bank card thank you so much for letting people no about this company. God Bless

    • Karen says:

Thank you for this info…I just ripped up my invitation to their free seminar.

    • I believe hands down that the best way to market a startup company is through networking and by word-of-mouth.

My company specializes in internet solutions for small businesses and startups. If you are serious about starting up online – if you are fed up of spending large amounts of money and seeing zero return -check us out at sitesparrow.com.

    • Nici says:

Thanks so much, I appreciate the honesty and commments of all here. I’ve been sucked in once before by another company, and didn;t want to waste my time or go through the aggravation and get ripped off again.

      • Beth says:

I really appreciate everybody’s comments. Reading all the comments has been an eye openner, I had already paid the $139 for the workshop and was planning on attending, but instead I cancelled it and I am getting my money back.

Thank you for saving me the time and aggravation.

        Best regards,
        Beth

        • CJ says:

          Hi Beth,
Did you cancel within three days? I am supposed to attend this Friday and want to know if I can get my money back.

    • gary Van Maanen says:

Wish I would of not spent the $5,000. But I did and I will continue to work with them in getting my site up and running and hope I can make it work and make some good returns. This is all I can do. It sounded good and we did it. Now I only can go forward. Any HELP

      • Pat Dowling says:

Gary, when will you ever learn? Come on man…you’d think after 64 yrs you’d be wise to all these scammers…

    • Diana Black says:

Like many we were looking for an easier, independent way of creating a business and earning extra cash so that we could retire and work on our dream job. Like many of you the sequence of events was the same, the requests for more money and the promises of increasing our earning potential put us in the hole for $10,000 plus. That didn’t include the money that we paid to Google, Yahoo and others. Yes we put in many hours of learning, setting up a very nice website and we even had sales. However the money going out was always greater than the money coming in. That went on for 6 months and we were so far in the hole that there was no sunshine to be seen. Then SOL started charging us for all kinds of sundry expenses and we had to let things go. We lost everything including our dignity for getting sucked into such a scam. Wake up people! Everywhere you go on the net to search these people you find horror stories. There is no pipe dream with them. They actually tell you in their seminar that very few people make it as a successful entrepreneur on the web! That was possibly the best piece of information they taught us!

  2. Jill says:

I have been away and not looking at this for a while but because of my foolinshness I claimed bankupcy and now have to build my credet up. After the big crack down by the FTC is SOL not on the hit list.?

  3. Michael says:

I was very creatively duped into purchasing 6 Storefront Websites several years ago and never set up the Sites. It was far more complicated than I realized and the funds spent I thought would be available to be refunded if the situation did not work out. Stores On-Line was very blunt in stating that they would under no circumstances provide a refund as they “Licenses” they provide do not cost anything to produce, and therefore the Licenses would not be able to be returned for a refund. Please DO NOT be fooled into thinking that this is a way to easily earn extra money. The costs and time to set up and maintain leave very little to earn after the countless hours it will take to set up the sites. Has anyone thought about filing another Class Action Lawsuit? I saw that one had been filed, but I never received the packet to return. Please feel free to contact me if any of you out there are at all interested. The prior Attorney’s that completed the previous Law Suit may be interested in pursuing additional legal action.

    • Jill says:

I found out too late that if you try small claims court they might beable to get your money back for you. Good Luck.

      Jill

      • June says:

I got duped into this with another company so went to this seminar to see if it would be different. I found they all don’t tell you up front what they will be asking for after you sign up. So be ware. I had to finally call Mike Finney of ABC TV to help me and he did and luckily I got my money back.

        • Michael L says:

          Hi June,
Do you think Mike Finney might be able to help me?
I live in Southern Cal and recently lost my job.
I begged the folks at SOL to refund my original purchase (unfortunately I was duped several years ago and never tried hard to get my money back) but am in a desperate situation now. They said politely no, as the licenses they sold did not cost them anything. Would you be kind enough to provide Mike Finney’s contact information for me? Perhaps he might be able to help me?
          MIchael (from Southern California)

          • kim says:

Michael, file a complaint with the attorney general. Do it online, even if it’s been a couple of years. You never know what the courts will order. But there has to be enough complaints, before our state attorney will go to court. Come on you guys, lets do this!!!

    • yvette grant moran says:

I am interested in getting a full refund back from Storesonline that I paid over the months.. When i first joined Storeline @ a seminar. It all sounded good. But, I realized later the cost of the website was to much for me, doing these hard times. I really wanted to cancel my order. But, was told it was to late. I felt pressured into paying on this website even though i didn’t want there service. I will check out the refund section, need to stop these payments i cam’t afford.

    • bill says:

      how about BBB?

    • CC says:

Mike says: “Has anyone thought about filing another Class Action Lawsuit?”

      LOL-LOL-LOL-LOL-LOL!!!

Has anyone thought about filing another Class Action Lawsuit?? ……… WHAT!!?? How about has anyone here thought about going to an actual accredited, legal, and legitimate school and learning these things the right way about how to market, advertise, and/or build websites??

      Jeez, are you people children??

How did you people get scammed like this??

Anything that comes in the mail, your inbox, or over the phone is nothing but a scam. Ignore people like these liars, thieves, and predators. Haven’t ANY of you heard the old saying: “if it’s too good to be true, IT IS!!”??

If you can’t do any of these things yourself, then instead of getting scammed and filing a lawsuit, I would advise you to file an application to register for school or classes. Go back to school and learn these things from experts who are genuinely educated, experienced, and knowledgeable, who can teach you everything you need to know ……… and for A LOT less money! LOL.

Not only that, but there is an absolute wealth of information, knowledge, and advice online from professionals and others ………. for FREE!

Why not build your websites for FREE? Yahoo, Google, and many other credible and legit companies have great start-up, store-front, and website building packages, and WILL help you get up and running. They will help you with marketing, advertising, selling, etc., so you don’t get scammed??

And if you go to these types of seminars to get information and/or get idea’s (which is the ONLY reason someone should ever go to these things) DO NOT TAKE ANY MONEY, CHECK BOOKS, OR CREDIT CARDS with you!! If you tell them you didn’t being any money, credit cards, or check books, that shuts them down immediately. They will have no where to go at that point. They want everyone’s money and will do what they can to get it. If I were to ever go to one of these things I would never, ever give them any personal information or even a REAL name. It’s none of their business what my name is, where I live, what my phone number is, what my email address is, if I have money, etc., etc., etc….. I would just give them a fake name, address, etc…. LOL-LOL-LOL-LOL!! It would keep things nice and simple and easy.

It’s very simple, if you don’t take any money, checks, or credit cards with you, then they can’t get it, and you can’t get into any trouble or buy something that you WILL regret later. This will 100% guarantee and prevent them from getting your hard earned money. It will save you cold hard cash and give you much needed time to get second opinions, talk about it thoroughly, research it online, and think it through completely when you are relaxed before making a rash decision. What’s the hurry?? A person should NEVER, EVER buy ANYTHING, or be pressured into buying anything, unless they’ve had plenty of time to clearly think about what they are doing. It’s too bad if the thieves, liars, scammers, and predators don’t like it either. All they want is your money anyway, and that’s why they use these type’s of pressure tactics. Pressure tactics wouldn’t work on me because I am way too strong, opinionated, and smart to tolerate someone like that. I would just turn and walk away, but that’s just me. I don’t like people coming at me who are in an aggressive and domineering mode, so I would not be able to tolerate an environment like this, nor would I subject myself to it either. I can assure you that real business people aren’t like that.

I think about everything I purchase no matter what it is. I have three very successful businesses, but let me tell you this, it takes me a month to decide what toaster I’m going to buy. I thoroughly research and think about everything I’m going to buy long before I actually buy it. I have a very hard time handing over my hard earned cash to someone, that’s for sure. It’s not what you make, it’s how much you save and reinvest in yourself that matters. I’ve never in my life been scammed by anyone because of my principals, and because I know that pretty much everything is a scam if comes in the mail, my inbox, or the phone.

I just can’t believe people would fork over $6,000.00 and up to scammers and thieves like this. That just blows my mind. It’s shocking that someone would allow themselves to be taken in and scammed this way, especially when there are plenty of schools and online classes available that are legal, credible, and legitimate to help people. In this day and age I find it very, very surprising that people are still getting scammed like this. I would think people would know better about this sort of thing by now.

There are plenty of schools and online schools to register with if you want to learn everything from the ground up about business, mass marketing, advertising, web building and design, buying and selling goods, and much more.

A fool and his/hers money are soon parted.

Just went to the seminar yesterday as a guest and i agree they make it sound unbelievable. I was not prepared with a check or account information but they said i could pay at the workshop. As they handed me my mp3 mail in slip as i walked out the door i was on cloud nine, looking foward to a continued learning experiance and possible revenue increase. On the way home on the bus as my friend and i talked more about it we started seeing the holes in their bullshit. Now everything i have seen on the web confirms these doubts and i will consider myself lucky i didn’t bring my check book yesterday. Thanks everyone for saving my ass. If they ever send me tickets i’m gonna call it in than give the tickets to two transients because i’m sure they would enjoy a free sandwich. If everybody did that it would be awesome. I just got a call from a woman at http://www.bizopcops.com. She gave me lots of free information on how to lodge complaints against StoresOnline. Bizopcops is basically a recovery company that works to collect for clients who have bought websites that were fraudulently misrepresented. Although I probably don’t have a claim, buying the websites nearly 7 years ago, most of you newbies may be able to collect something. There are so many class action lawsuits going on right now that I would urge you to visit these websites and do some complaining to shut these charletans down:

    http://www.bizopcops.com
    Utah Div. of Consumer Protection

Please elaborate about this? I desperately need a refund!

  8. I am so glad we did not buy this upgrade Platinum/Silver during workshop yesterday, thanks for this forum/blog, there like from $3,400-$6,000.00..Wow! I consider the first meeting which is the seminar and the worshop yesterday were our $129.00 we pay is for there foods they serve plus this stupid, cheap, useless notebook computer where our money goes. I feel bad for other people who did it, I guess goodluck for them. Probably I will do it if I have a close friends who are very successful on this, then I can have that confidence. I’ll continue playing lottery..no pressure.

  9. After seing all this comments I am convince that this SOL is a real SCAM, or else people here will not spent hours of typing commenting its all over the nation.

Just attended a seminar last night in Ventura, CA 93003 @ Crowne Plaza Hotel. WAS “INVITED” for workshop. Don’t want to loose any more than the $139.00 I already have. Should I stop payment on my check?

      • cindy says:

Never mind! Just did! Thank God I looked this up before i went any further. $27 cancellation fee’s alot better than $139.00!!! Let’s see if they still send me the MP3 player! LOL!

i don’t want to bury them, i just want them hanged and let their rotting carcasses dangle in full view. i want my money back too. clay

  11. l Krieg says:

    Good day,

I was unfortunately was dupe into this scam.

We went to a seminar and bought the multi site package. I have been in the computer industry for many years and found their system very confusing. They offered training they stated for free and found out it was $20 dollars per call. We went to the seminar on Wednesday and found out by Sunday this was not for us. We could not get our money back because we were 24 hrs too late. For the next few weeks we were inedited with calls from other sales reps (or department) selling other products such as: a tax package, marketing package, law package and a trip to Utah to be a special candidate for their promotional training and exposition.
If this was added all up, this was over $20,000 with a monthly cost of 35% of my profit and $120.00 (+) maintenance.

    Other thing happened such as:
We asked them to build our site( as I stated: it was too complicated) but they said they would only added 5 sellable items only to the site for free and charge $25.00 per item. My wife found 1211 items. We did not at that time have a merchants account nor have our company established in NY or any other government documents needed to establish a C or S corporation.. We were far from ready to publish the web site. We were also advised the we would not be charged for maintenance of the website if it was off line. The site was completed in September. We did not activate the web site due to time and still was not ready with the necessary documentations.

Our life was in a bustle and could not continue to work on our investment (loss) due to lack of time. In October we were charged for web site service maintenance . We called and lodged a complaint. We stated we were not ready to activate the site and whom activated it. At this time the rep stated this was an error and she would refunded our money and apologized and corrected the error . We did not see the refund. 3 months has past and we noticed we were being charged for 4 month of web site maintenance and it was taken directly from my checking cash card. I again called and complained in which this rep stated that this was in the contract and rudely hung up on me after stating “you should have read the fine print”.

I canceled my cash card that minute and also my credit card I bought the site with.

A quick summation: We lost $7550.00 + and over 400 hours in time and made $0.00 for our efforts.

Hindsight: When I was at the seminar, I could not access the internet. (I believe they did this on purpose.) It was that Sunday after we could not get a refund that we checked out the BBB rating. Ouch, that was my fault. I also thought it was very unusual that we could not ask questions. They stated: It was easy, all the tools you need was there, 24 hour support all free. I thought it was part of the $5400.00 dollars we are paying. Again I was an error.

I also wrote to NYS district attorney office and heard nothing.. Leave it to NY to rip-off their citizens and do nothing if others rip-us off.

I went last weekend after paying the $139.00 for the “all day workshop” they told me nothing that I did not find online for free. It was on big hard sell with really bad fake stories of their families. when they came to my wife and me and asked how i’d be paying the $6000. I told him, that after I research online then I would make a decision and he litterally got up and told me I wasn’t ready to invest in myself and my business would dye if not properly marketed online. Now, even if I was close to buying, I was out after that and by the time I got in my car my wife and I were laughing our asses off. DON’T GET INVOLVED WITH THESE PEOPLE!!

  13. Jessica says:

A friend of mine got involved with this company and they have taken her for all her life savings!!! They call her all the time tell her that she needs to give them more money to get started adding more stuff on, sending fex ex letters to sound all bussiness like, phone calls trying to get her to get credit cards with them witch they just charge up with out her permission!! They have even gotten into her other charge cards and bank accounts just helping them selfs and not tell her, now her checks are bonucing and her house is a stake!! They are trying now to get her to open up a NEW credit card just for the online website they are suppose to be helping her do ( NO help at all just papers in the mail and phone calls) they even are telling her that it will be a tax deductable and there will be no intrest on this card.. Its scarying me to death the crab that they are doing and taking from her. They are no help just BS working on people who are trusting and now that she has to told them no more money until they help her get the site up they are getting rude and saying without more money that they can do anymore. She has already gave them over 6500.00 dollars and its still not enough. Now that they got into her credit cards and bank accounts she is over her limit on them and checks are bouncing as well… PEOPLE LETS STOP THESE THIEFS NOW!!!!!!!!

    • Ron C says:

Thank you Jessica I was about to attend this seminar in Phoenix but thanks to you and others I will stir clear, they promised MP3 and I have yet to see it after 3 weeks. I have had read the comments you and others have made and I think it will be wise to just take the day off from my job and use it to relax and get things done around my house thank you and I truly love ya for the warning !!!

  14. Jessica says:

    STOP THESE THIEFS NOW !!!

  15. Lila says:

Thank you all for your comments. I just signed up for a dinner meeting but now that I read everyone’s comments I think I will give my tickets to two homeless people :-)

  16. Chris J. says:

Good thing I checked this out first before blowing my day off and getting a lackluster lunch, as well as a hard sell by some sales rep (I used to be in automotive sales and mortgage, so I had to ‘grind’ people on a daily basis. I wasn’t good at it and had a moral compass that my colleagues lacked, so I quit).
I like the “give the tickets to homeless people” tactic!

  18. Bill Brown says:

it boggles the mind to find out just how stupid some people are.

  19. How in the world did you people get involved in this. I come home today, see a slick mailing shouting FREE FREE FREE, read the fine print that inform you will be sold something, google the company, first hit is the BBB giving them an “F” and posting like 30 court cases that they lost. DO the words Ponzi and Pyramid mean anything to you guys. All it took was 3mins on a google search….even though I knew it was a scam anyway, figured I see if I could loop hole my way to a free Mp3 or Netbook. Now I might go just to laugh and give them a hard time. What is wrong with you guys.

    • Rona Smoke says:

So, tell me, did you get the free MP3 player and/or Laptop? Quick, I’m scheduled to go tonight at 6:00 Central Time.

      • Deairrea Battle says:

Hey did anyone get the MP3 player?

        • James Harrison says:

i went to the meeting in February 2011. i order the MP3 Player on February 8th, 2011. i called them in 6 weeks when i didn’t get them and they keep telling me that it was sent on the 14th of February when i told them i was recording the call they hanged up. now they say i should get them in 5-10 business days. i have yet got them. it an big SCAM.

          • CC says:

“they hanged up.” “i have yet got them.” “it an big SCAM.” Jeezzzzzzzzzzzzz.

You don’t need to waste your time getting ripped off, you need to go back to school and learn how to properly form and structure a sentence and words. IMMEDIATELY!! LOL.

        • Tami Jones says:

I went to 1st meeting a few weeks ago and I have received the MP3 player a couple of days ago. I also went to all day seminar and bought the platnium package. This is my last day to cancel.

      • SuSheela says:

I submitted for my free mp3 player in December of 2010. I have not recieved it. I’ve called for times and there is never a supervisor and they just keep telling me they will have the supervisor rush the delivery for me. bunch of bullshit. I just called again today and got the same story of getting it in 5-10 days. I have every mind to attend another seminar just so I can stand up and expose the freaks.

      • clay says:

yes, but it doesn’t work. and it’ll cost me to send it back for another nonworking mp3. cs

  20. omg says:

wow i wish i would have known all this before attending the meeting tonight i just saw the ebay, yahoo and bing on the invitation thought it was from them till i got there. of course we were not allowed to have phones on to research either. i paid the $99 dollars to attend the seminar which is 2 weeks away and they gave us the software free. now i wish i could get that money back.

  21. Kim says:

We went to the 90 minute presentation tonight and gave them a $99 check for the 2nd presentation and signed their Software Subscription Agreement. After now researching we have changed our minds. Can someone help me know the correct steps I need to take to make sure they don’t cash our check, don’t take any other money from our bank account, and make sure we aren’t in any type of long term contract???? During the whole presentation they were made it very clear that there was no contract and you could leave at anytime, but after reading all of these posts, I’m scared! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    • dean says:

u may cancel your check, but they can charge u a $25.00 fee for insufficent funds. On the backside of your reciept is your right to cancel. It must be done 3 to 15 business days (sat. n sun. not included) depending where u live. WI is 3 business days i believe. We went Thur the 7th., so we had till monday. I believe u have till monday, to be on the safe side to go to your bank and fax in the cancel notice to them. I stress faxing because they get it immediately! They probably won’t answer your call. U may email them also. Don’t feel stupid though, it takes a day or two to rethink some choices we make, avoid that fee they’ll charge u to cancel a check at ur bank.

    • Jane says:

Put stop payment on the check. Unfortunately switch over your checking account to a new account. Tell the bank identity theft is the reason.

  22. Kyle says:

I went to the presentation as well. If you don’t know how to cancel a check, then you certainly aren’t smart enough to think for yourself about whether these guys are scam artists or not. Think about this for a minute….what they were mainly trying to sell to you was their hosting service. In order for them to continually get money from you every month for hosting, they WANT you to have a profitable business online. If you don’t have that, then as far as they’re concerned, you don’t have money. If you don’t have money, how are THEY going to get a cut?

    • Gregory says:

What the hell is with this supposed intellectual thrashing’s. Just because someone made an unsound decision does not give you the right,.. dumbass kyle to call someone else stupid?

  23. Kyle says:

Look, people. It’s not their fault if you unwisely spend money that you don’t have and then regret it later. That’s not what they’re telling you to do. You decided to spend yourselves into a hole all on your own. If your online company sucks, guess whose fault it is? YOURS. Not theirs. The information they’re giving you about how to be successful with an internet business is legitimate stuff. You just need the innovation and motivation to apply that information you receive. Of course everyone’s not going to be successful with an online business. There’s a limited number of people searching for your kinds of products and/or services, and if you aren’t on the first few page of Google, you probably won’t do very well. That’s how it works. You’re taking a risk by investing in any kind of business. The odds are not always in your favor. The only paeople I see complaining on here NEVER SAY ANYTHING about what kind of business they were running. You guys aren’t entrepreneurs. You’re just gullible idiots lured in by the promise of a free mp3 player and netbook.

    • Candle Lady says:

Wow you are a nasty vile “little man” who abviously has way to much time on his hands. Do you go to these blogs to purposely abuse people? You must be a recluse who is very angry & in need of anger management classes or a good butt kicking. People are unfortunatly taken advantage of daily & these blogs are the reason for that very issue, not for jerks who just want to abuse people! I’m sure you are a very important man who has never been taken advantage of so you feel as though you have the right to tell everyone how to handle situations such as this company, it’s so nice to have such an “important little man” to help everyone out. Just remember it’s nice to be important but it’s more important to be “NICE”! Oh ya & carma sucks so watch your butt!!

    • CC says:

Here, here! Very well said. However, being the first in page rank with Google is NOT the end all, be all in having a very successful online company or website. It’s all about knowing who and how to market and advertise your business, not your Google page rank.

I have three very successful businesses both online and off, and my business does NOT in any way, shape, or form depend or reply on Google at all, or any other company like them. I aggressively and continually network, mass market and advertise. These are the “keys” to a successful business. You have to get your name and product out there, and there are many ways to do so, but online is only one of those ways.

If you want a successful business it takes much more then being online, which is all well and good, but not solely. And of course, as your said you MUST have the right product or idea, and one that will sell very, very well.

It’s an extremely tough world in business these days and NOT for the frivolous or faint of heart who can’t take a few insightful, accurate, and truthful comments. You have to have very thick skin and be able to roll with the punches. I find nothing nasty or vile in anything this man said, not a word. Damn good advice, and if you aren’t listening and heading his advice, then you absolutely deserve to get ripped off for being ignorant, stubborn, naive, gullible, and ill informed.

Everything he said is pretty much spot-on and the way it is in the business world. It’s obvious you are NOT in business or a business person or know anything about business. That’s okay, not everyone can own and operate a business. I can’t do open-heart surgery on someone because I wouldn’t be any good at it. You have to know what you are good at and what you can excel at. You may not like the message, but it’s the truth. If you can’t handle it, then you shouldn’t be in business. It can often be a cut-throat and dicey thing. If you can’t take the heat and criticism, and think this post is insulting, then you DON’T have the stomach or thick skin needed for the business world. It’s a rough and tumble world in business and I guarantee you’ll need thick skin, tolerance, and a lot of patience to deal with whatever you’ll be faced with.

You made a comment, as well as a pretty quick assumption, about how this guy has way too much time on his hands because he posted this comment. I do too, and do you know why?? I’ll tell you why. Because I have two very smart full-time assistants and savvy employee’s who help me everyday, which affords me the time to stop and smell the roses along the way. LOL-LOL. I even have time to cook dinner for my family too. LOL. Does this also mean I have way too much time on my hands? You bet I do, along with three very successful businesses that afford me the time to do whatever the hell I want to do. You bet I do honey …… all the way to the bank!! LOL-LOL!! I can afford anything I want.

And by the way it’s spelled “too”, not “to”, which is what you wrote in your first paragraph when you commented about him having way too much time on his hands. And it’s “karma”, not “carma”.

Maybe instead of delving into the rough and tough world of business, you should be thinking about going back to school and learning how to write, spell, and use grammar correctly?

      • Amy says:

And YOU use “LOL” far too much for a grown adult. Do you have such a lack of a social life that you need to come on here and make others feel like crap? And no, I’m not one of the people that got scammed or even invited. Just researching companies like this for my job and came across this blog. After seeing your MULTIPLE posts berating others, I just had to tell you to get a life. Maybe you’ve done well for yourself in the business world, but you seem like a complete jerk. Hope you like living your life with your business, your stomach and your thick skin that you wrote about. Because I can’t see how any human would actually enjoy being with you.

      • Amy says:

Oh and because you like correcting people so much, It’s “hear, hear” not “here here”. Maybe your “very smart assistants” should have looked into that for you.
It’s not fact that you have the free time, it’s the way you choose to use it, which is SO pathetic. And on that note, I’ve wasted enough of my own time…

      • The Watery Tart says:

Kyle, the bottom line is that there are so many people trying to make ends meet today. We’re lucky that almost anyone can open a business. It doesn’t mean they will succeed. Most people don’t. Most people starting up a business are looking for educational resources. Then there are those, like myself, looking for new ways to sell our product and grow our brands.

Mistakes are made by every business owner. Some big, some small. Not everyone has assistants hired that will help. If they’re starting a business, they’re usually starting it alone.

Count yourself lucky to be successful and have great employees. Kudos to you for your success and I admire you for acknowledging that your success also depends on your savvy employees.

I count myself lucky to own a computer and the time to research the “reservation” I received in the mail. And I was so happy to find this website, and so glad I trusted my gut.

Keeping this site focused on helping folks to steer clear of this scam of a company, not bashing the devastated people who got sucked in will be the most productive thing to do. I agree, you gotta have the thick skin, but this site is not the place to kick someone after they’ve realized they have made a huge financial mistake.

And by the way, do you have a good recipe for BBQ? I am not being facetious, I actually am always trying to improve mine.

        twt

      • birds says:

So what are you and the other one trying to say is the company good or bad or to u work for them

    • Gregory says:

I suppose you are the entrepreneur of the universe… these guys do have some sound advice, as long as you have a wallet big enough. You must be a ghost writer for this company.

    • lynda says:

Hey Kyle, practice what you preach, spell check you should learn how to use it.. just sayin

  24. Kim says:

@Kyle Yes, I know very well how to cancel a check. My fear is that this company is going to take advantage of my account numbers and I wanted to know what steps other people have done to prevent the fraud. Not that it matters, but my husband and I are both college graduates with masters. We both have full time jobs as well as owning a brick and mortar business. We also already have a website, which my husband created himself. When we went we were looking for further tools to help us expand this part of our business. However, after coming home and doing research it seems this company finds lots of ways to take people’s money in many different ways including some seemingly illegal. So, no I’m not a gullible idiot but an educated person making an educated decision. However, you are obviously one of two things (or maybe both). 1. Someone who works for the company and doesn’t like the criticism. 2. A horrible person who enjoys putting others down..

    • Kyle says:

You’ve got me pegged. I’m a horrible person that loves to put others down. :) I certainly don’t work for the company, though. IF you’re a gullible idiot, I’ve got no beef with you since it’s not my problem, and I’m certainly not afraid to tell it like it is.. IF you’ve been doing your research and you are educated, then good on ya! Either way, I’ve been suckered in to doing the exact same thing you did: pay the $99 to go to that all-day pressure sale seminar to get whatever information I can in an entertaining way (which I’m sure it will be), receive 2 “free” lunches, and receive one (possibly 2) crappy netbook(s). The only difference is that I have no problem spending a measly 99 bucks to go to their all day experience (sales pitch) since I thought the free presentation was a riveting display of how to reign in sales. It was absolutely genius! Totally deserving of every penny I’m giving them. And I’m not going to take action to cancel the check I wrote, either. So that makes me more of an idiot than you, I presume. HOWEVER, after the day-long seminar, I will be financially unable to do any further business with StoresOnline. By targeting me, they have unknowingly targeted an individual who owns ZERO credit cards and is completely unwilling to take action to finance payment for their overpriced proprietary software packages. We’re all idiots in our own little ways, and I’m a terrible person for saying it. ;)

      - “Yes, I know very well how to cancel a check.”
Great job! It’s good that you’ve clarified that. That would be the first step to take. CANCEL YOUR CHECK. Make sure you have documentation of doing so, as well, in case they are still able to somehow take money out of your account. And if they do, take them to court. The odds that they are going to steal your account number in order to fraudulently steal money out of your account are astronomically low. They would NOT have been in business for as long as they have been up to now if they ever did that to people. That’s not how the free market works. It cracks me up when I see people who have bought into their products say “They stole from me! They said I would make it all back! They tricked me!” You see, that’s not a solid claim to make in a claims court. The judge would simply, and accurately, say, “They did not steal from you. You voluntarily payed them that money for their products and services. Therefore, you are ultimately responsible for your debt.”

Here’s an ACTUAL quote like the former of the two above. It is quite hilarious:

“My dear God, these guys(the salesmen) from StoresOnline are very good at stealing money. I started questioning their acts if it is legal at all. The trick is they aggressively use some technical languages until the audience get confused and use it to MAKE you reach your wallet.”

Uuuuhhhh….sir? Really? O.o Yes, being good at giving a sales pitch is perfectly legal. I mean….the fact that many people pay these guys over $10,000 for software that can be found elsewhere at little to no cost just boggles my mind!!! They’ve certainly got an incredible marketing strategy!
I’ve even seen people complain about the free lunch they provided at the free seminar. As far as I’m concerned, it was a yummy free bit o’ food!

That’s all I have to say about that.

  25. Cassee says:

I went to the Mp3 seminar a few weeks ago and since I am working on starting my own business figured it would be a great way to learn how to help market it and get a website going so I purchased the $139 “training” seminar. I came home and did some research and found out that it was really a push for their programs for the tune of 6K. My husband and I talked and figured we would go learn what we could and would at the worse be spending $130 for a lunch and netbook. We had NO intention of purchasing their tools and giving them anymore money. Within the first hour one of their consultants came and introduced himself and asked if I had any questions. I told him no I was just trying to get some information. he told me we would have a consultation later in the day. we listened and took some great notes. we talked amongst ourselves and really enjoyed the speakers. It was a HUGE sales pitch, not just that, but they are great salesmen they use alot of emotional and mental abuse and manipulation to make sure that it works. they take a bunch of people who are NEED something now and work them until they fold. It was very sad to me, Most of the couples or groups that were there were at least in their 50’s and 60’s some disabled and I can bet don’t have 6K to throw around. they drilled into everyone the magic that is their “Upgrade” and you will have to work for it, but its effortless with their “tools” that are sooo magical and that you CANT find anywhere else. that if you don’t buy RIGHT NOW, then you’ll come begging back and have to pay 15K later. Or you’ll just go back to your pathetic, stupid, idiotic life. I can’t count how many times they said you, in those words, were stupid or an idiot if you didnt buy their tools and tried to do it manually. I went to learn how to do it manually because I was promised in the first seminar they would teach you both ways. Not true. they tell you what needs to be done to have a good site, but won’t tell you how to do it. to find that out you need to spend 6K. well like I said I took great notes. I wrote down what you need for a successful website. I wrote down their tools. I wrote down all the websites they listed and the ones they tried to scroll through REALLY fast. I then came home really disappointed and feeling like I didnt really get anything but a free lunch, emotionally and mentally abused and the waist of a rare sunny day in Oregon. Oh btw we NEVER got our consult either. Once the guy realised we werent going to buy he could not be found. in fact at the end he stood right in front of me and purposely avoided eyecontact while handing out packets for those who did. When my hubby and I got home we started our action plan on using info they provided us. we started trying to figure out how to use what info they did provide without the tools that were so invaluable. I was told their “reverse search tool” was a miracle worker and only available if I spent 6K. The whole purpose of what they preach is to get on the goolgle first search page. WELL guess what I found when I got home. GOOGLE has their own keywords search tool!!! for FREE!!!!! they also told me it would take me forever to submit my “sesspool” website on all the search engines. I found a website that submits to google and 70+ others for FREE!!!! they told me only their programmers or ones I would pay thousands to could put the keywords in my website asneeded, guess what I found, yep one that does it for FREE!!! Oh and the big thing they were pushing with their Platinum “upgrade” is that their websites have merchant accounts and verisign built in, so you don’t have to go out and beg and grovel for one and THEN pay $1500 for one that you are to stupid to ever figure out how to put on your website. I found one for YEP you guessed it. FREE!!! AND they help you intigrate it. I have only been searching for about an hour and found each and everyone of their tools which are very easy to use and pretty much the exact same thing for about 6K less than they are charging you. YES it does take more work on your part, but your 6K richer and you learn alot about YOUR business and how to run it. I also don’t like the fact that I was told in the exact words that I’m stupid because I KNOW what I want to sell and that I don’t want to just throw up a website and sell some sweatshop item as a dropship. I want to have emotion about the product I’m selling and what I do, that the $$ signes aren’t enough for me. I guess I’m crazy and believe that money ISNT everything. If you go and buy and spend 6K then do what you can to make it work, but if you do go anyway like I did be prepared for the fact that they are great speakers, even tho we didnt buy and they were pretty abusive in such a beautifully evasive way, and that its very easy to buy in. my hubby was ready to fork it out to make me happy if I would have said the word they were so good. You CAN find and do all the things they are selling by just taking some time and searching for them on your own. GOOD LUCK!

    • Kyle says:

Thank you for the great post, Cassee! I was wondering what exactly is going to happen when I go to the all day seminar, as well. It’s unfortunate that it sounds more like an entire day of pressure selling, and not purely an informative seminar. I wasn’t expecting it to be the latter, anyway, and my doubts have been confirmed. Hopefully, the seminar will be entertaining and I’ll gain some insight on how to pitch a product to uninformed people.

Thank You. After reading your info, I went on google to see what they have for free. You are right . The info google offers is about the same info I have with stores online. My friend and I are cancelling.

    • Lisa says:

      Cassee,

Thank you for the info. My husband and i were going to the 139.00 workshop this Monday, I have no intentions on getting in I was only going for the netbook and maybe winning one more. Please tell me me do you think the 139.00 is at least worth that. I can handle the pressure of sales people I just think its a good deal 139.00 for a netbook, so since you have one please tell me if its worth 139.00. Thank you,
      Lisa

      • Marie Leanos says:

Don’t go. The freebies you get are junk! These people are frauds! They should do jail time. I cannot believe that I got another invite in the mail to go to yet another workshop! Stay far away!!!

        • geber says:

I went to both seminars. Lunch was OK! The netbook is junk. The screen hasn’t moved from the words “Wireless Boook”. I charged it for two days. JUNK JUNK Oh, I got ehe MP3’s in the mail. I haven’t done anything with that yet. But, I thank God I didn’t signed up for any of those packages.

    • John Manskey says:

I agree with the vast majority of what Cassee has posted. I was very
interested in the concepts and projections these folks were making.

I went to the initial meeting and signed up for the $139.00 pkg.. I spent the day at their “upgrade” session and I managed to learn an awful lot about the internet, Google etc. that I didn’t know.

As a long time salesperson (peddler) I thought their presentation was nothing short of AWESOME. All very well rehearsed and spoonfed to the 175 people that were in attendance.

Did I purchase their upgrade? HECK NO !!!!

Do I think the $139.00 was well spent. HECK YES !!!

For two free lunches (being from Texas, I wish they were BBQ), a
lot of coffee and ice tea, some very polished presentations and
some very useful information……………. $139.00 is pretty cheap!!!
$6,000…..now that is a whole different matter.

The nice part about it is that “the choice is yours”. I don’t feel cheated at all.

    • promised says:

U hit the nail on the head…omg… I did check them out on the local bbb -which stated they had been investigated by the attorney genl’ . And they were suppose to have a State Rep. in the seminar to keep them from making false claims. I figured they had “changed” to “improve” their company status to comply with state laws.
I was under the impression from my husband signing up for the basic, pressuring me to ‘have something’ at home since becoming disabled… I had my own business a few years before…but things changed. And well this looked promising. I still had my reservations. If i’d listened to them we would never been suckered. I had a massive migraine no less at the time, so defenses down even more.
I had already an idea making a product of my own, like you stated…but they glamorized how “they could get product’s” “MASS” qty…in case a company wanted to buy…. lessening the need for me to “make” a unique item… They implied when I asked “how am i suppose to do customer service -when I am not available to answer phones” they said they did this, which implied they provided the product. YES it sounds stupid now after i’m not on the med’s as i was… under normal circumstances no one would be answering customer complaint’s or taking orders but my “company” -which I no longer had…. I was LED to believe, like AVON, or the such where they carried the product all I’d have is a website store front of products chosen from their inventory. I have a RCA recorder which they didn’t know I was recording… I posted below that we finally settled only because we had dire housing issues to deal with. Many people don’t know that ‘Quicksitemaker’ Cash Flow systems, Imergent are all the same company as StoresOnline… beware and be informed. Since clearing this from my records my husband have moved on & following suze orman’s advice, cleaning up our credit has never been so sweet.

    • Sheila Jackson says:

Cassee, what a great post. I got the same responses from these people when I refused to take the bait and buy their scam. I realized fairly quickly that even if it had not been a scam it did not fit my needs. Their method of trying to make me feel I was not worth much because I did not buy into their spiel was laughable to me. And thanks for all the good info. Much appreciated. Sheila Jackson

  26. Jason says:

Went tonite….couldn’t believe all the people willing to shell out $99. If theres any more out there I will give you my address!! What really sucks is that they ran out of food… got a cookie though. They came up to us and whispered there was no more food but here’s $15. So we did get something… oh and the slip for our mail in Mp3 player too sweet… and a blue bic pen i stuffed in my pocket. HA. Fingers crossed we get that phone call next week saying we were one of the 50 ppl to win a laptop. P

  27. Deairrea Battle says:

Hey did anyone get the MP3 player or the 6 weeks turned into never getting one?

    • fred says:

yes-about 5 wks junk…comes w/ 3bad chinise pop songs i can only partily deleat & no instructions- the netbook (spelled “notbook”) …well figure that!!!!!!!!!!god bless

  28. Dave R says:

I purchased the storesonlinepro package after attending a seminar….back in Sept 2010. After several months of building my website, finding a dropship supplier at a $600.00 membership cost, new merchant cc accounts, numerous hours of labor/time and frustrations in adding my products to website. I finally had my online store……1 month, 2 month, 3 months and no traffic on my site…….called storesonline for assitance. They state that when website was orginally built it was built incorrectly, in order to attract more visit, I would have to correct the formatting erros. HUH……well my response to them was the site was orginally built by one of your programmers….they state that this is correct…..but the problems is when the products where added to website they were added incorrectly. To fix would require an additional $1700.00+. After some research, I find out that my lack of traffic is due to a search engine registration requirements, etc, etc….By this time I’m out of money, time and hope of making this a successful investment. I begin to realize that this online store dream is not what I thought it could be. The site was live for 3 month with a total of 4 customer, which were friends I mentioned the site too. I discontinued my monthly host payments, put webstie on hold. Have been paying my financial obligation to satisfy my contractual agreement. To date I have spent approx. $3500.00 in this foolish decision. I am seriously thinking of defaulting on my obligation…..although do not want to damage my credit…….any suggestions.

    • To all of you have commented. I have had the grave experience of losing $6,000.00 in May of 2008 to S/0nline. Much to my chagrin and gullibility. I trusted these people. I gone to my lawyer (Pre-Paid Legal) service. He did research for me. There is no way for me to retrieve my money unless I would want to leave Canada for a number of weeks and pay my own expenses for litigation in Utah. This is not going to happen; therefore, I have to count my loses and move on.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE — DO NOT SIGN ANY PAPERS TO JOIN THIS COMPANY; IT IS ALL A BIG SCAM. The literature which you receive at the seminars is “small potataoes” to what they glean from you if you sign up. This company is banned in Wyoming and other States in the U.S.
They have not come back to Calgary again that I know.

      • Shar says:

we were just at the seminar in Edmonton last night. We already have a drop ship compnay and a website, we did dish out the $100 for the all day seminar though. Although we do not intend to buy anything at the seminar, I am glad we are now going in even MORE informed and hopefully our $ is worth the 2 free lunches and notebook we are suppose to get, as well as some free tips and tricks to get started using the tools we already have. I have noticed since we took our website live we get a call atleast once a day from these companies trying to sell something. luckily we have no more money to invest because the salespeople aure are slick…

        • Diane says:

          Gord,
They are back in Calgary, this week in fact. I was going to go but felt I ran out of time to register,so was looking at their web site. Came across this one and am grateful I did. Now the invite is in the recycle bin where it belongs.
Are they on Canada’s BBB bad list?

    • CC says:

LOL-LOL-LOL-LOL-LOL-LOL!!!!!!! Ah, a classic text book example of someone who has NO business being in business. You deserve to get ripped off!!!! There is NO place in business for truly stupid people like this. What a moron!!

  29. Frank says:

All I can say is WOW! I attended the free dinner seminar last night with a friend. The guy was a great speaker but what was he selling? I knew in the first 25 minutes he was going to sucker several people into thinking they were special because they were picked to go to the all day training….. wait your special because you paid him $139.00. What a scam…… now that I looked them up, all makes perfect sense. How about this…… I’m thinking about printing some of the stories on here an taking them to the all day event and handing them out before hand. :) bet that would kill their sales for the day…

    • CC says:

That is a very commendable the to do, but it’s not going to save these ultra STUPID people from getting ripped off. They are begging for it and want to get ripped off!! The more money they can extract from them, the better they like it. If people are this stupid, which apparently they are, then they deserve to get completely ripped off and lose all their money!! Don’t even bother wasting your own time on stupid people. Let them get ripped off. That’ll teach them. People need to learn the hard way. There are so many stupid people on this planet. Jeezzzzzzzzz.

      • kim says:

Hey, smart ass, you misspelled a word.

      • Gregory says:

I think CC works for storesonline… What do you all think?

        • Gregory says:

a commendable “the” to do? Who is stupid?

        • pennywise says:

I would have to totally agree with you…..CC=SOL

          • Bare says:

@ the seminar now and decided to do some checking online regarding StoreOnline and came upon the review list. they make it sound so good, but remember “if its too good to be true”… I feel sorry for the ppl who get caught up. Buyer Beware!!!

      • Judy says:

You are definitely one callous .
Your attitudes can only be reflective of the kind that must exist in SOL.
Trust is one of the wonderful things that can happen between people.
How sad that people are so desirous of destroying it, for their own monetary gain … and then laughing at the people they took advantage of.
A little Jay Abraham would go a long way.

And Frank, print the stories out, call your local newspapers and have them do stories … etc.

    • john walker says:

Frank……..the most original idea i’ve read today. Mind if I duplicate your ingenius way to throw cold water on these money grubbing, greedy, A-Holes. After reading numerous negative comments about the credibility of Online Stores, I’m preparing another e-mail to forward via their “Feedback” options.

  30. Byrd says:

Did anyone actually receive their free computer after completing the workshop?

    • Dora says:

I did. Well, not exactly. The box said it was a 7″ Notebook, but really it was a 7″ piece of crap! IT’S NOT EVEN A REAL COMPUTER! $99 gone down the drain!
I wish I never went to the seminar or the so called class.

      • John Manskey says:

Hey Dora……my grandkids love it. I just hope it lasts a little longer than the one we got @ Walma(sp). At least they didn’t have to eat two cold sandwichs and sit thru the sales presentation.

    • bob says:

Not sure if a droid that didn’t work qualifies. No warranty, plain white wrapper accept for the made in China. We have to call to see if its warrantied.

  31. Dora says:

In the class I paid $99 for, they were asking for $6,000 to “upgrade” but I didn’t have the money anyway, so I didn’t do it!

  32. SD says:

I went to the seminar tonight, and thank God the Arts Festival was a block over, I needed some way to clear my head of all the BS they filled the room with. I felt so sorry for all of the gullible people who bought into the scam, its like they just couldn’t picture the amounts of money they would be spending for a lifetime on services they did not need, but somehow this man convinced them that they could not do this without his services.
The saddest thing is the shameful dinner that they served, Turkey Sandwiches….To a Bunch of TURKEYS…I am sure they laugh every day, all day about the suckers they convince to purchase.
DO NOT BUY IN TO THE HYPE!!!

There are better ways to spend your money, and most of what they teach you can learn at a community college for Half of his initial cost!

  33. Peat says:

Thanks to this blog. Had made reservations for a breakfast at the Delta Calgary Hotel (April 16th 2011) and literally just as I was leaving my house for the conference I read the fine print on the ticket. Thanks to this blog it all know makes scenes now.

    I’ve just canceled my reservation.

    Its a scam y’all!

  34. I got suckered in says:

I wish I did a Google search on “storeonline scam” before I got suckered in. That was an expensive lesson – to learn that so many dishonest people are out there. I signed up and paid about $7,000 for the package from the seminar thinking that’s all I needed. My life is a living hell after that. Many different reps will call you after that and everyone wants a piece of your wallet, like f*cking hyenas. Every call from them ask for more money to do this and do that, setup corporation fee, setup bookkeeping fee, on and on. A few thousand dollar every time. You’ll end up with $50,000 in debt before you know it. I wish these f*ckin people burn in hell. Especially the ones from Utah. I expected Mormoms to be honest, but you mother f*ckers will burn in hell.

  35. Norbert says:

I CANT beleive this crap can still be legal to market.
I wouldnt give a dime to these scumbags if you paid me 10 bucks. I went to their seminar scam in Detroit about 4 years ago and what a JOKE, there were otns of poor blacks there mainly for the free dinner which turned out to be a bag with achips and a sigle slice of meat sandwich, and the MP3 player LOL was suppose to be sent to me by filling out a form with my address on is and guess what ,, its 4 years later and Im still waiting for my MP3 player lol PLEASE AMERICA lets run these scumbags out of America and where is our consumer protection agency and Crimefighter agencies and the JUSTICE DEPARTMENT GEeeez

  36. Leon says:

I think I can sum up this whole blog…”If it seems to be too good to be true…it probably is!”

  37. Kmarie says:

Thankgoodness I did more research . My friend still has time to get her refund , she paid for both of us with a credit card she saved back for emergancies . She knows I’d pay her back and even if something goes wrong with the refund, I’ll help her pay it off as fast as I can . They charged $ 200.00 for the both of us and tried cheating one of us out of a laptop by putting our names on one orderform inwhich they knew it was for two orders . One Laptop per order form was the statement from the smooth talking speaker . I quickly corrected their error as my friend tried to tell me everything was fine ( she hates conflicts and will do anything to avoid public attention ) . Though I am the same way , there was no way they were going to cheat us out of what they promised with each order form .

For those who haven’t attended the first session , as my friend and I have .
My impression is that they do offer great advice . However , after reading these posts , I’m not confident to continue to the next session . It was out of our way anyways and a dept we both do not need .

As far as the free lunch
The side dish was ok & frosted cake was great .
I couldn’t tell you about the main course cause it didn’t look appealing , so I skipped it .
Then again maybe it was me because everyone else around me chowed down on everything .

  38. Matt says:

I attended the workshop today for my boss who was out of town. She pretty much signed me up for the netbook, but also in hopes I would learn a few things about online marketing and social networking for the restaurant. I hate to judge a book by its cover, but as soon as I saw the people that showed up to the workshop, I knew this was a scam for suckers. Clearly, being the youngest one there didn’t mean I was the most naive. I think the presenter said half the “class” signed up for the premium. I can’t believe how easy it was for the charismatic StoresOnline presenters to break down the crowd after 8 hours of brain-washing speeches and probably got probably 50 people to cough up $6000. These people didn’t even think it over, go home to see what other options were available, or even run a simple google search on a company they are about to invest 6 grand in. And let me give you guys a little piece of advice; if a company knocks $5000 off the pricetag, but only if you BUY TODAY, thats a pretty good indicator that you’re probably getting ripped off. I don’t mean to sound insensitive…but come on people. I’m 21 years old and I could see right through this ploy. How did a room full of 30-70 year olds get so easily fooled?!

  39. DamnMad says:

About 7 years ago in my prime I went to this seminar and stupidly went by myself. I handed over my money and my signature for their websites. Seven years later, after spending money on the corporation, marketing and other crap, I have no websites, my husband is upset with me, because it has ruined my credit. Is there a lawsuit against them, because I want to participate in it. Never again….

  40. mimhaus says:

I went to a seminar today. i have a sucessful business and was looking for tools to increase internet traffic. I learned quite a bit. And actually was considering hiring them and working with their trainers….BUT….as I was walking out, I was told to turn in my stub to get the free MP3 player. I did and was given a coupon. As the guy was handing me the coupon he asked me if I signed up for another class. When I said no, he walked away with my stub. I came home and looked at the coupon. IT REQUIRES THE STUB ATTACHED. He took my stub because he knew I was not going to sign up. Breech of contract. Theft. I only care out of principal. I use my blackberry for Pandora downloads, but come on. The irony is that I am a financial advisor and I had 3 elderly client call me to see if I thought this was a legit outfit to work with. I told them I would check it out. They lost 4 clients today, not just one.

  41. Evan Fosher says:

This site can be a walk-through you discover the information you wanted with this and didn’t know who to pose. Glimpse here, and you’ll definitely discover it.

  42. babyblues says:

For those of you who put these fees on your credit card, dispute them.

Also contact the attorney general’s office and the better business bureau.

  43. promised says:

Stop making payments, you’ll be harassed for a few phone calls -ignor, then ignor the papers that come in the mail….finally you’ll get a paper asking to settle which is rediculous….but it will be about a year before it starts to show on your credit report. Then tell them you are losing your home & can’t get a rental with them on the report. Ask them how you can work something out only if they send you a letter stating they will remove the report from the credit bureus AND close your acct completely from their records so it doesn’t appear later. Settle on an amount. Not what they want -they will try to get you to pay alot more. I didn’t want to give them a penny, but as stated above I was in a situation where I was going to be homeless. I told them that I did not receive what I expected or help when I called. {all of this is the truth} They came down to an amount I barely had but satisfied both of us. Pursue them in removing…now that you have the faxed letter– must be faxed to you and respond immediately pay them within their 5-7 day window. If they don’t remove their report you have enough to pursue with a lawyer.
Now I will say they were nice, however be cautious because although they are nice…they will try to get you to give away personal information recorded on their systems. Stick to the matter. After payment they tried to delay on the removal…again be persistant. YOU do Have Rights.

  44. promised says:

another tip. close all accounts / visa’s numbers changed immediately….

you only have ‘3′ days from signing to cancel. You have 90 days to dispute in some states….may be less in some. READ the super tiny fine print. They are NOT obligated to build you a website as they “sing” praise’s at the seminar….of doing everything for you including having a product…. that is all false.

  45. promised says:

PEOPLE….IF YOU PAID $50 or $100 to go to another “training” session ….you are suckered in…they have your credit card to continue charging you for their monthly website service fee’…. don’t be surprized if you start getting a charge of $24 or $29 in some cases. you won’t learn anything …you’ve just paid to go to pay them to tell you how you HAVE to upgrade to Pro… there is no learning. I’ve been there…and believe me paid dearly….but as far as stupiditity… how can they really gloat when they suckered someone who was ill; taking 9 medications….no job… or income… if they’d been smart they would have put my husband on the contract… but it turned out to be in my favor for that. I only ck’d into it as a co-signer… yet it became MINE alone… yes i lost a few months of payments HOPING but got wise quick. Yes I’ settled to clear it completely into oblivion ….but having the experience, I could not just sit back while they come back into my town…AND SEND ME ANOTHER STUPID INVITE… are YOU KIdding ME!!!. They opened the pandora box this time. Their’s so many free’ or low cost without signing off your soul websites out there… That walk you thru what you need. Free advertizement to get the word out thru facebook, myspace, twitter… who cares about margins, and who really looked at your page but never logged in…. really??? think about it.

  46. Jean Crawford says:

OK, I was duped by them too, but fortunately I checked the Order Form/Contract? and called the very next day to cancel. I talked with a guy who wasn’t very clear with his name either Matt/Mac and was given a cancel confirmation number. I specifically asked about the check I had given them the previous day and was told that the account had been cancelled and the check would not be put thru the bank. Since they scammed me once, I decided to call the bank and put a stop payment on the check, after I did this I also sent an email to customer service with all the information including letting them know that I stopped payment on the check, lo and behold they put the check through this morning with a different check number and as an eft, this was put as pending on my account so another $30 later I also stopped payment on this eft. If you go to the seminar and do the dumb thing like I did, they give you 3 business days (as per their own order form/contract) . We’ll see how many times they try to run this eft/check through. PS…Are there any lawyers out there who would take on a case if they continue to try to cash this check?

    • The Watery Tart says:

Jean, no lawyer is going to be bothered for a $99, $139 or even $6,000 check. The best thing for you would be to open a new bank account, close the old one, and just be glad you only spent $30 more. Also there is a form I filled out with my bank once, when someone used my account for their skype and the charges/eft’s were refunded to me. Talk to your bank teller. It’s worth the hour at lunch. Good luck.

thank god i decided to do a little research before going.
guess i’ll look for some homeless people and offer them a free lunch!

  48. The Watery Tart says:

Top five things to do if you get an “invitation” from Stores Online:

    5. Throw it away (or recycle it) or give it to someone who needs food

    4. visit Google to add your website to their search engine for free http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

    3. contact your local small business development center for guidance http://www.sba.gov/about-offices-content/1/2894

    2. contact your local library or university business school to talk to someone about online marketing, even a student could help you

    1. THROW AWAY or SHRED THIS POS or you will be “S.O.L.”

And thanks to whomever got this website up in the first place. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!!

Went to the free luncheon seminar with a friend in Alhambra, CA on May 5, 2011. Saw through their spiel. Besides the $29.95 per month charge for your website they now are offering, at a $24.95 per month charge, a VOIP ( Voice over Internet Protocol) account for your phone. Some talk as to managing your business phone calls for you. Just one more way to get their hand in your pocket.

Turkey sandwich on croissant with potato salad and a very rich brownie kept it from being a total waste of time. Just water though, no other beverage.

  50. john walker says:

Hey notafool. Excellent insight and a factual account of what to expect from the one day work shop. BTW, weren’t you promised an opportunity to win a free laptop, and guaranteed to receive a free MP3 player just for attending? Well, you guessed it…………….a pure scam to; worse than a bait and switch. Finally, the turkey sand and dessert were deploringly blan.

  51. Rose says:

Okay let me just say that I am so sorry for everyone’s misfortunate. I attended a Seminar August 2004 before entering my second semester in undergrad. I got took and I must say that my credit score is way low because of this situation. I contacted everyone and nothing has happened. Don’t give any identification information… Don’t take a check book… THey are scammers so be careful. I was only 18 years old and I am 25 now so I say the light when I tried to cancel the next day after the seminar and they would not allow me to do so. So the 3 days is not legits don’t be fooled.

  52. Frugal Guy says:

I just got back from their seminar and I did not buy a thing! I got the free dinner , but I had to sit through the sales pitch. I will mail in my MP3 player claim ticket, but they won’t get a dime out of me! Next time I get tickets like these, I think I’ll give them to homeless people!

Took years to get this website up. Was horrible did not like the website. have 5 others so hard to get it ready. This website I have up needs to be marketed and storesonline wants more money. What a waist of 5,000 for nothing. Let me know if anyone is going to make a lawsuit against storesonline.

Can anyone tell me what the free netbook computer is? I’m tempted to go to the workshop to glean any info I can (not to buy into their products/services for sure!) and to give the netbook computer to a boy I know who loves electronics. I’m not overexpecting because I know it’s something cheap and scaled down, but is it at least functional to get on the internet?

    • Laura says:

I went to the 1st seminar and paid $99 to attend the second seminar. Turkey sandwiches both events, MP3 coupons in the mail and received a 7″ NOTEBOOK with the brand name of Made in China. Generic box with claims of SD card reader, WiFi, MSN, QQ, MP3, MP4, videos, photos, 3 hour standby battery life. I researched the notebook and found that they are bought in quantity for $60-90 and sold on the market for about $50 more. I sold mine on Craigslist in one day for $75. I did take a vacation day from work to attend the all day seminar and people are correct in saying that you are talked to in a condescending way if you do not partake in their scheme. I went there as an informational meeting and had no intention of buying. So for $99 I received 4 lunches a notebook and supposedly 2 MP3 players which I won’t keep and got $75 back from the. Biggest regret was wasting my vacation day! At least my son and I got to spend the day together and roam around Ann Arbor afterwards. And one more thing, we Googled the pages that they did and did not get the same results. One of their clients who is now an employee is a genius (they said). He came up the top 10 on the first 4 pages of google when they showed it on their screen. We Googled the same business and it was NOT like that in real life. People, please don’t go.

My son did ask, “how did you get a job like this” to our consultant who appeared to be the same age. Then my son said, “If this package and internet business is so lucrative, why are you selling this instead of being in business for yourself?” There was no reply and no pressure to continue trying to get our business.

I went to this yesterday I am glad that I was not picked but my freand was I tryed to call and tell her about this website but she said that she is going to go anyway I hope that she does not get burned like the rest of you have I pray that all of you get your money back and I think that they prey on older persons so that they confuse them the only thing that saved me is I told them that I did not have the money today and that I wanted to do some research about the company thank God I did please do not waste your time or money

  57. Deborah says:

I attended the initial free seminar yesterday & was contacted by MY FRIEND today, who had seen this site and called to warn me! I told her that anytime anything FREE like this is offered and people attend expecting to get rich quick or expecting that going into any kind of business is going to be easy, there will always be huge backlashes from people who did not get their unrealistic expectations met! I have been in business for myself for five years after working for someone else in my industry for about 20 years, and actually I DID learn quite a few things that I didn’t know before that will be very useful as I try to expand my services to include internet consumers. I had actually advised my friend before we went that these kind of FREE events are always attempts to rope people into buying proprietary materials, but that no one can FORCE us to buy anything. I stand by this fact and am so sorry that so many older people or gullible people find themselves in the same disadvantaged financial state in which this single mother finds herself at age 53! When I started my own business a few years ago, I started with very little capital, no financial backing, credit ruined by a nasty divorce. I spent thousands of hours pounding the pavement, taking classes, talking to others in my field, passing out home-made flyers, and eating ramen noodles with my daughter in between cash-paying clients! It wasn’t easy, and I have no doubt that branching into e-commerce will be much the same!

BUT…having said that…frankly, I LOVED the fancy croissant sandwich, chicken salad for our seminar, and the free potato salad was yummy!! The gooey brownies were fab…I actually stuffed them in my purse and brought one home to my grandson!! I guess people expect a gormet dinner for FREE?!! I did go ahead and pay the $99. for the day-long workshop, fully expecting to get the hard-sell sales pitch, but also expecting another FREE lunch in a nice hotel downtown, with a friend, but also expecting that a company cannot actually STAY in business as long as this one has if they don’t actually sandwich some valuable information in, along with their attempts to sell me upgrades I am not obligated to purchase. Are the presenters slick and polished? You bet! So is the guy who sold me my used car! Do I expect a company to make my website successful without me doing any hard work, for only $29.95 monthly…NO! I learned long ago from an old preacher man & a song by Led Zeppelin, that if I succeed or fail, make good decisions or bad, it’s nobody’s fault but mine! Pay in cash, take good notes, don’t purchase anything until you check out the competition’s prices, and before you make a major investment, with money you don’t have to lose, seek advice from someone already doing what you want to do, and pray like crazy for a word from above! Go..enjoy the lunch…I DID..but, be careful! Look before you leap! That’s my best advice! You can use the knowledge to head you in the direction you need to go..and then go home, with your savings intact. God Bless Us All as we try to survive this nasty financial climate!

  58. Mr Mckay says:

I have worked for the company. If you have questions, feel free to ask. I will answer honestly.

  59. Mark Silverman says:

I went to the presentation, I thought, with my eyes open. The 2 hour intro was helpful, and the eight hour promised to share good information, mixed in with what I expected to be an aggressive sell.
Then, they didn’t need to sell to hard, at least not to me. Once I heard that for $6,000 they’d build two sites for me, and I knew I had two that were pretty complex, everything else seemed like gravy.
Including the netbook they gave simply for attending.
The Netbook was absolute dreck, and that set off some warning bells.
So when I go to set up the sites, here’s what I learned. For storesonline to host, the minimum plan is $29.95/month. Even if it’s just a simple informational sign, requiring no shopping cart or database services.
And the two complex sites, which would be require the whistles and bells. they would in effect own the content of the sites. So, if for what ever reason, I chose to move the site to a different host company, I would need to rebuild from scratch. Maybe this is typical, I’m obviously green at this, but I canceled immediately.

  60. Paula says:

I was one of those people that got pulled into their scam. They ran my credit and put me on a payment plan. I never did anything with them but they insist that i should pay them or they will take me to court for breach of contact. I told them that i have no money to pay them and they told me that if i send them proof that they would cancel my contract…LIES!!!! they held onto my doc…All i wanted them to do was cancel the contract..they said NO…..Can someone tell me where or what i can do to get rid of these people they are messing up my credit and hurting me….i have a story but so hurt to write all that happen with this company. HELP!!!

  61. Ron Walds says:

StoresonLine has the worlds best sales force. That’s where it ends. There is nothing behind them. Customer service is some person, you can’t understand, sitting behind a phone somewhere in the Philippines, with a manual, trying to answer your question, (on your dime). Before you layout any money, use your head, not your emotions. Ask questions. I will say if you have knowledge of web site and design, and want to take in on: the hosting options are good. But, remember you get no help once they get your money. BEST SALES FORCE/WORST SERVICE

  62. Heather says:

I went to the $139.00 class and opted out of the ridiculous 3400.00 and 6800.00 upgrades. The lunch was decent but being there was like being in a live infomercial. Don’t waste your time or money. They kept calling the computer they give you a netbook but it is just a 7″ cheap $99.00 notebook. You can get some good information as long as you can keep their hands out of your wallet.

  63. Nonnie says:

BBB rate them ” F” I have been fighting with my husband a lots cause i don’t want him to purchase this software ,lucky we do not have money for make payment. We went to seminar at 9th April at Oregon. I took my sprint phone and research them and I found this website, all are negative comment. Thanks this website ,By the way I did’t get mp3 yet and net book are sucked!

  64. Mark says:

My wife and I went to the “class” today. While we did get some information about search engine optimization, most of the time was spent on a very redundant psychological sales presentation designed to drive home their point that if you don’t purchase their solution, you’ll fail miserably. We finally got the free “netbook” and much as I imagined it is pretty useless for anything. It was a 7″ netbook using Windows CE; a poorly made product.

  65. Sara says:

What is it that makes otherwise intelligent people willing to plunk down five grand or more for something they can’t try out and don’t have a chance to research? Would you do that with a car? Of course not!! You have better sense, right?
I got the invite to the seminar near where I live this weekend and almost went over to the police station with it, because I can smell a scam when it lands in my mailbox. But then, I decided to check out the dot com site, to see if there was anything to it, because — believe me — there is NO FREE LUNCH anywhere. As I suspected, there is nothing going on with this company other than the same kind of pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme or whatever you want to call it that has happened wherever there are people willing to fall for it. It’s baloney.
If you want to do online marketing or generate some income online, then set up a blog (it’s free!) and link it to Adsense. Have a plan in place first. There are plenty of web marketing sites that are honest and offer good opportunities to sell products, but you have to do the research. I have spent the last week and a half doing just that, and I found a LOT of sites, with no or very low fees. You could, in fact, generate more income by being an Avon representative than you ever will with these frauds.
This company is nothing but a ripoff aimed at vulnerable people who want a little more out of life than they have going on. I still haven’t figured out how they got my name and address, but I will say that in this still sluggish economy, it’s best to keep your wallet in your pocket, and do some research.
Starting a blog is free. Try WordPress; they have all kinds of things you can look at. Or if you’re not sure where to start, look up 2createawebsite — it’s an educational blog run full-time by someone who offers good advice and IT COSTS YOU NOTHING.
I’m just saying, do your research and you’ll find plenty of ways to get what you want without spending a dime more than you can afford.

  66. dave says:

JUST CURIOUS DO ANYONE GET A LAPTOP?

I WENT TO THE SEMINAR HOPING TO GET THE FREE LAPTOP AND GOT NOTHING ON THE DAY OF THE FREE SEMINAR.

I WALKED OUT AFTER LISTENING TO THEIR SALES PITCH.

I HAD A DOMAIN THROUGH YAHOO FOR $1.99 FOR A YEAR SO WHY WOULD I PAY STORESONLINE $139

AS FAR AS THE POWERPOINT DISPLAY REGARDING SOME LADY SELLING MAP BOOKS IN CALIFORNIA. WHO BUYS MAP BOOKS NOWADAYS? THERE IS NO MARKET FOR THAT. PEOPLE GO TO MAPQUEST.COM OR MAPSONUS.COM FOR FREE OR THEY BUY A GPS. HARDLY ANYBODY USES MAPS NOWADAYS.

    • duped in fl says:

It wasn’t a laptop….it was an off brand cheap netbook….u were the smart one!

    • Handyman says:

Good Point. They never told you how much those people made only that it took 6 months for the lady in California to get her website up and running and meanwhile she was paying the $30/mo for the access. You have to sell alot of maps to make a profit!

  67. Carol says:

After waiting until 1:15pm to get lunch, I thought it tasted pretty good! I googled maps and MAPS4U did not show up on the first couple of pages. I quit looking after that. Guess I’ll know in 6 weeks if I’m going to get the MP3 player. I just saw the screen pulled up not someone actually goole it up. Wished I’d looked at this before I wasted a Saturday.

  68. Amy B says:

just wanted to let you know, if you Google ‘map book’ it certainly DOES show up!

  69. Dean Wall says:

I put up the $99 (May 12, the day after the ‘Dinner Event.” They said, “We will process these payments in a week, so if you need to go make a deposit, you have time.”
I made the deposit the next afternoon, and the funds were there. They did not keep their word, and even 9 days later they hadn’t made their move (as promised.) So I drove 70 miles to the OKC ‘One Day Class,” and they said, “It didn’t go through.” NO attempts showed on my Bank statement.
So IF they can’t keep their word about WHEN they conduct business, Why would there be any veracity in their other statements.
So I had $99 in the bank.
I had my paperwork and vouchers for a free ‘NETBOOK.’
I had Business Casual attire on.
I expected NO HITCHES (even took a vacation day to attend!)
They pulled me aside and said, “Can we run it again?” I said, “Hell NO! You failed to fulfill your obligation to withdraw it in a timely fashion (as per the 1 week date 18MAY2011) I no longer trust your company’s veracity.

Probably my smartest move in the entire affair.
[I disclosed by A Phone Call to their customer service Number, that because of the rude behavior of the event co-ordinators..I intended to Flame them on the internet.]

  70. Naneka says:

This is a very sad case of fraud and needs to be stopped.
I went to the seminar and first thing I noticed was the older age of the attendees.
The whole thing is a terrible scam. Now I just need to find the time to reach out to the attorney generals office to put a stop to another group of crooks.

  71. Carrie says:

Me and my hubby signed up and went tonight. We were looking foward to dinner and some good advise for some computer help for some ideas I have. Long speech and yes a turkey sandwich for dinner at one of the finest restaurants in my city. I was disapointed with that but hey it was free. Glad we were not suckered in to paying any money, did’nt even stay for the mp3 player. At least it was’nt a Time share Deal, those are the worst. Oh well sorry to the people that were chosen at the end of the meeting, we were not:)

  72. Chris says:

Thanks everyone for your posts, I feel better about my experience tonight. My husband and I registered for the FREE seminar promising the netbook to the first 50 callers. When we arrived, we were turned away–they told us that all of the seats were taken and there was no more room for us. So much for our Guaranteed Seats! But hey, what a gift of time for us not wasting our time listening to their scam! Thanks again for making me feel better about being turned away.

  73. Mark says:

I would like to be part of a group effort to find out where and when these scaminars by storesonline are being held. I am sure that many people would like to call the venue and let them know that they are going to warn the local authorities. They have ripped off so many people I am sure we can get people to picket these events as well.

  74. William R. Lytle says:

If all of these comments are true then why don”t someone start tipping off the B.B.B. Thats who I checked with befor I put down my money. Funny thing, they had NO complaints on this company.
However, I will follow my gut and request a refund befor the dead line.

    • kim says:

you need to check the BBB in the state where their main office is. that would be utah and they DO have a rating, it’s an F. plus they are banned from doing seminars in that state.

  75. Hello, i think that i saw you visited my site thus i came to “return the favor”.I’m trying to find things to enhance my site!I suppose its ok to use some of your ideas!!

  76. Karen says:

I went to the seminar thinking maybe I was the first 50 people to call and would receive a free netbook. Yeh right! After hearing what they had to say I decided to go to the workshop. I paid my $139. with the promise I would receive a free netbook as I was leaving at the end of the day. When I got there I was told they were not able to get the netbooks and then proceded to had me a form to fill out for a $75.VISA card. They then told me that it was worth double what the netbook was worth. I told them this was a case of bait & switch and I asked for my money back. They actually handed me the full $139. in cash. These people are crooks!

  77. CJ says:

Has anyone gotten the mp3 player?

  78. TOM says:

    Thanks Danny, Thanks Jay.
They talked all day about google and all I had to do was google storesonline.com and within seconds it was crystal clear what a scam they are. Todays seminar was informative and useful because it proved to my friend and I that our site can be launched without their expensive ‘help’. just glad I went as a guest and didnt pay the 139$ or Id really be pissed (Thanks friend! sorry you paid!). You can also see how evil they are when they try to make the audience feel indebted for the crappy turkey sandwich and potato salad that they apparently dump accross the country. Though i must admit i liked the cookies and cute Mormon butts.

  79. JT says:

Just out of curiosity….did anyone get asked to” leave” the FREE seminar because the host thought they weren’t “the right kind of people” to start their own online business? This happened at our FREE seminar…….right before the part where we were “accepted” for the $139 seminar. Just felt a little fishy to me………

  80. Stephanie says:

Today I have the free dinner and presentation. Considering I thought it sounded fishy the day I got the invitation in the mail. And now I’m ready to call their bluffs. And will intend on trying to record the presentation. And I’ll try to stop the other people from wasting their money on a scam.

  81. Stephanie says:

This guy was preaching that if you needed to make cash NOW you would be making the difference today. He also preached that you have to do research on many things. However he said “If you’re going to push us to the side, say you’ll “Think about it” or “I need to do more research” You’re being stupid, you need to make a difference TODAY not tomorrow and you’re just being lazy” “IT would be ignorant to NOT take advantage of this opportunity”

But by the way this man talked, he was fun loving in the beginning but he got serious and slightly pissed when people wasn’t taking it seriously. And he made it seem like everyone there were idiots and that Since the meal was free, that they would feel obligated to throw out their money cause they wouldn’t get ANYWHERE without them.He basically let a couple people ask one or 2 questions, but it was all a lecture.

Where we were at the chefs of the place made the meal so it was very good. He suckered some poor people into paying to go to the next one. Attitude wise not worth the trip. Get a ticket to a Stores Online presentation? Stay away unless you need a laugh.

  82. I’ve been looking around for this website after requested to visit them from a colleague and was happy when I was capable of finding it after looking for some time.

  83. Hi – very great website you may have put up. I had a blast reading this posting. I did need to publish a comment to inform you that the layout of this web page could be very aesthetically pleasing. I was an internet site designer, now I am a simple worker for a software improvement company. I have all the time enjoyed taking part in with computing machines and am trying to learn website building in my spare time (which there is never enough of lol).

  84. Thanks for sharing excellent informations. Your website is very cool. I’m impressed by the details that you have on this web site. It reveals how nicely you understand this subject. Bookmarked this web page, will come back for more articles. You, my friend, ROCK! I found just the info I already searched everywhere and just couldn’t come across. What a perfect web site.

  85. Lori Christensen says:

Clearly this is a class taught to show us how to spend money and fill their pockets. None of the stuff promised to us at the first class was taught. Like Who their recommended drop shippers are etc. It was all a big sales pith and unfortunately it is aimed at people who are desperate already and really do not have the money to be scammed. We lost 139.00 along with so many more people who are out of work and “thought ” this would be a way out of poverty. How can we stop them In Washington State and other victim areas? I am willing to do picketing if anyone knows where they will be in the next few weeks.

  86. SCOTT SWIER says:

THEY WILL BE AT THE NEW WORLD LANDING IN PENSACOLA FL 21 JUN 11. I ATTENDED THE FIRST CLASS ON THE 10TH OF JUNE. THEY HAVE THE SECOND PART COMMING UP. YOU ALL ARE RIGHT ABOUT THESE PEOPLE. I AM GLAD I DID NOT PAY. THE GUY AT THE DOOR WHEN WE LEFT MADE A SNOB COMMENT THAT WE WERE THERE JUST FOR THE FREE STUFF.

  87. BARBARA KRAMER says:

ON 5/23/2011 I AND A GUEST ATTENDED YOUR WORKSHOP AT THE RED LION IN KALISPELL, MT… I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISGUSTED BY A TRAINING CLASS IN MY LIFE, AND I AM 58! FIRST OF ALL; I RECEIVED TWO MAILINGS…THE INVITE, WHICH, I SAW THE MAILMAN DELIVER, I WENT OUT IMMEDIATELY AND GOT IT, CALLED WITHIN 10 MINUTES…. “FIRST 50 CALLERS THAT ATTEND THE MEETING WILL WIN A FREE NETBOOK”. I CALLED AS SOON AS I GOT IT, I ATTENDED THE MEETING. THERE WERE 70 PEOPLE THERE… SO IF THE PROMISE WAS TRUE, WE HAD A GREAT CHANCE OF GETTING A NETBOOK, RIGHT? NO, NO, NO…THE INSTRUCTOR INFORMED US THAT ALL OF THE MEETINGS FOR THE MONTH WOULD BE PUT IN TOGETHER, AND ON SUNDAY THEY WOULD DRAW THE WINNERS… FAIR? OH, NO! HOW DO WE EVEN KNOW THAT ANYBODY GOT THESE NETBOOKS? 2 FREE MP3 PLAYERS…BUT, I NEED TO SEND IN A COUPON AND PAY S&H!…BUSINESS CASUAL: BUT OUR INSTRUCTOR IS WEARING BLUE JEANS AND HIS SHIRT TAILS WERE HANGING OUT? THAT’S CASUAL. WHY COULDN’T WE DRESS THAT WAY? THEN WE LISTEN TO THE SPIEL OF WHY WE SHOULD SIGN UP WITH YOUR COMPANY. HE REPEATEDLY TELLS US THAT THE COMPANY ONLY WANTS THAT MONTHLY FEE… THEN, THE WORST ATTROCITY! HE HANDS OUT THESE WORKSHOP ASSESSMENT FORMS…WE ANSWER THE 5 QUESTIONS… THEN HE COLLECTS THEM, INFORMS US THAT THE MEN IN THE BACK WILL GO THROUGH THEM AND QUALIFY AND DISQUALIFY THEM…BUT.. THEY BRING THEM UP TO THE FRONT, AND INFORM EVERYBODY THERE THAT 19 PEOPLE DID NOT QUALIFY, AND THE NAMES OF THE ONES THAT DID QUALIFY WILL BE CALLED…SHAME ON THEM!! THE ELDERLY COUPLE NEXT TO ME AND THE PEOPLE NEXT TO THEM D I D N O T QUALIFY!!!! AND EVERYBODY IN THE WHOLE PLACE KNEW IT! HOW UNCOUTH AND EMBARRASSING! THE INDIGNITY OF DOING THAT TO PEOPLE WHO CAME THERE TO LEARN SOMETHING, WITH HOPES THAT THEY CAN IMPROVE THEIR WAY OF LIFE… OH, BY THE WAY; I DID QUALIFY, AND I REFUSED TO GO TO THE BACK OF THE ROOM TO SIGN UP FOR MORE TRAINING! A COMPANY THAT WOULD TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT IS NOT A COMPANY THAT I WOULD WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH! I HAVE 3 COMPANIES. TWO HAVE WEBSITES, AND I AM SEARCHING FOR A COMPANY TO HELP ME DEVELOP A WEBSITE FOR THE 3RD. NOW, WHOLE PICTURE… I GOT AN INVITATION; I CALLED IN AND SET UP APPOINTMENT; I GOT ANOTHER MAILING CONFIRMING; I GOT A PHONE CALL CONFIRMING; I GOT A TEXT MESSAGE CONFIRMING; I WAS IMPRESSED THAT THIS COMPANY WOULD PUT SO MUCH MONEY IN ALL OF THE INVITATION PROCESS, SO THEY MUST BE SUCCESSFUL, RIGHT? WHOOPS. THEN THEY DROPPED THE BALL. THEY ARE TOO CHEAP TO HAVE THE STUPID MP3 PLAYERS TO THE MEETING, YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE US MAIL IN THE COUPON AND PAY S&H; WHICH MOST OF US WON’T BOTHER TO DO, SO YOU REALLY LUCKED OUT THERE…NO EXPENSE. I DON’T NEED AN MP3 PLAYER, BUT I HAVE CHILDREN AND GRANDS THAT MIGHT HAVE LIKED THEM… THIS WASN’T THE DRAW, THE INVITATION WAS, BUT THEY COULD HAVE AT LEAST BROUGHT THE CASES OF MP3 PLAYERS WITH THEM, SINCE THEY ARE GOING TO MAKE SO MUCH MONEY ON ALL OF US.. NOT VERY CLASSY, IS IT? I LISTENED TO THE PEOPLE IN LINE, AND THIS WAS THE GENERAL CONSENSUS! OKAY. I WORE A SUEDE CLOTH SHIRT THAT THEIR STUPID NAME TAG STICKY GOO WILL NOT COME OFF OF…THEY OWE ME $79.99. I WAS BUSINESS CASUAL, BUT THE PERSON WHO IS GOING TO TRAIN US DIDN’T HAVE THE COURTESY TO BE THE SAME! ALREADY I AM DOUBTING THIS COMPANY BIG TIME…
SO WE ALL SIT DOWN, I IN THE FRONT ROW. TEACHER JOHN SAYS TO WRITE YOUR QUESTIONS DOWN AND WE WILL GET TO THEM AT THE END OF THE MEETING…OH, NO WE DON’T. HE GOT VERY RUDE TO THE ELDERLY LADY SITTING NEXT TO ME WHEN SHE ASKED A QUESTION AT THE END OF THE MEETING…VERY GOOD ONE, TOO. “THE LADY THAT SELLS MAPBOOKS IS ALWAYS AT THE TOP OF THE LIST WHEN PEOPLE TYPE IN MAPBOOKS” IMPRESSIVE. LADY’S QUESTION “DOES STORESONLINE COME UP IN THE TOP 5 WHEN YOU TYPE IN INTERNET MARKETING?. WOW, RUBBED JOHN THE WRONG WAY. THIS MAN THAT WE HAD BEEN WATCHING DANCING AROUND IN FRONT OF US, SMILING, PROMISING US SUCCESS DIDN’T LIKE THAT QUESTION!
SO WE GET A MEAL THAT IS TOTALLY BAD ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE RED LION…I HAVE EATEN THERE BEFORE, AND THEIR FOOD IS FANTASTIC. A DAB OF CHICKEN SALAD ON A CROISSANT, 2 CARROTS & A PICKLE, WITH A COOKIE FOR DESSERT! THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD US TO BRING OUR LUNCHES WITH US, OR GIVEN US A COUPON. AFTER ALL, WE GOT A COUPON FOR OUR “FREE” MP3 PLAYERS.
NOW, FOR THE RECORD: I HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS SINCE 1980 WITH ONE COMPANY…. IT IS A MOTORCYCLE SALVAGE. STARTED IT AS A JOKE, AND IT BECAME A GOLDMINE…THEN I STARTED ADVERTISING. HANDED OUT PENS TO EVERYBODY I EVER MET, FULL PAGE ADS IN LOCAL TRADERS, THEN I FOUND THE INTERNET… WOW. I COULD SELL 12 MONTHS OF THE YEAR, BECAUSE FLORIDA AND CALIFORNIA FOUND ME! SECOND, I HAVE A HUNTING CAMP IN LIBBY, MT… CO-OWNED BY A FAMILY OF MOOSE…I NEED ADVERTISING FOR THIS. STARTED IN 2004. I THOUGHT THIS COULD HELP ME… THIRD, I OWN AN EMPLOYEE REFERRAL COMPANY…HEAD HUNTERS. I HAVE A LOCAL WEBSITE. WORKS GREAT SINCE WE DEAL WITH LOCAL EMPLOYERS AND EMPLOYEES. I OWN 18 COMPUTERS, ALL OF MY KIDS HAVE LAPTOPS, AND LAST YEAR FOR CHRISTMAS, ALL OF THEM AND THEIR KIDS GOT HP 12″ NETBOOKS WITH EXTERNAL DISC DRIVES…
SO, YOU SEE, I DIDN’T NEED THE NETBOOK, BUT I EXPECT ONE. I DIDN’T NEED THE MP3 PLAYERS, MY ENTIRE FAMILY HAS SMART PHONES THAT HAVE BETTER THAN THAT ON THEM, BUT I EXPECT TWO OF THEM SENT TO ME SINCE THEY FAILED TO PRODUCE THEM AT THE MEETING.
I ALSO EXPECT A PHONE CALL OR EMAIL APOLOGIZING TO ME FOR WASTING MY TIME. I HAVE THE NAMES AND PHONE NUMBERS OF THE PEOPLE SITTING NEXT TO ME IN THE MEETING, AND BEING A NATIVE OF THE FLATHEAD VALLEY, I KNOW A LOT OF THE PEOPLE ATTENDING THE MEETING. I ALSO KNOW PEOPLE THAT HAVE RECEIVED THEIR INVITATIONS, AND I WILL BE TALKING TO A LOT OF THEM.
THIS CLASS AND MEETING WAS A TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. THEY HAD IT GOING FOR THEM WITH THEIR MAILINGS AND CONFIRMATIONS, BUT THEN THEY DROPPED THE BALL.

  88. BARBARA KRAMER says:

THIS IS THE EMAIL I SENT TO THEM AFTER ATTENDING THEIR MEETING!

  89. joanne says:

Do not deal with Stores Online. They deleted our websites by accident and did not even notify us. The customer service is horrible.

  90. Gary Arnold says:

My wife and I attended the 90 minute seminar and were sucked into the $139 training day. I realize that we were pitched hard and fast and very successfully. We actually felt good about spending money we did not have to waste. It is too late to cancel at this time so we will attend the traing session and try to glean as much info as possible. Being forwarned about the pressure tactics and the disdain we will obviously receive will help us to keep our guard up. I feel like such a fool for getting duped ouy of my hardearned money. I’m always the one to research before I jump. Here’s hoping it won’t be a total waste.

I have purchased Storesonline. I do want it to work and it sure takes time Yes they do want you to upgrade, give them more money and they say they will do it all. Wish I had all the money they want and that it would work as they say it will.

I probably want my money back YES. Does any one know of a good lawyer that can get me back my $5,000. I wish I could just start over.
I guess I will have to continue and try and make it work. Pray for me that it all works out. And that I do get my site up and running as they say it will do. Thanks for listening and please HELP

I have printed off this entire blog and sent it to them as well as the Federal Trade Commission since this is an interstate issue. The more written complaints the quicker this company will be called to task. Beleive me, I went after another company five years ago and they paid some very hefty fines and had to stop their unethical sales practices. They were selling grants to people when they did not have grants to sell.

  93. Tim Trott says:

In Dothan, Alabama they rented a cheap meeting room with bad air conditioning and the “free lunch” was in a styrofoam box with a sandwich, potato salad and a cookie that they handed out as you walked out the door. The “free gift” is a coupon for an MP3 player – (one per family or address). They have only two “success stories” they use and each one of the has a “not typical” disclaimer at the bottom of the screen.

  94. Florida says:

They offer drop ship source lists — which you can find on Google. They offer SEO instruction that you can find on…. Google Webmaster for free. Their catalog is priced at $199, but you can get that for free and up at any hosting site. Hosting is $29.95 — but that probably doesn’t include domain registration. Payment gateway is PayPal so you don’t need SSL. All in all, you can match the whole package for under $13 a month total just about anywhere.

    Customer Complaints Summary

  98. I purchased the package but I’m having 2nd thoughts. I should have check all of this out before purchasing, but at least I am following up now in my uncertainty and will be cancelling under the 3 day right of rescission. Whether the program works or not is not really the issue, as it is too much money too soon in a brutal economy. I took no cc or checkbook, yet they managed to take $40 out of my pocket. I’m already sweating it and wondering if I can make the rest of the $500 down payment or the $200+ payment monthly for 3 yrs.that starts in August @ 20% interest. Seems like if I failed at this insult would be added to my already plundered credit and finances, If I miss my big chance, oh well, at least I may have some peace of mind and a few more bucks in my pocket for the time being. RMB….P.S. Anyone need to buy or sell a house in Charlotte county, Florida ?
